Ludington Area Catholic School offers a variety of extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience of our students.
** DESTINATION IMAGINATION: DI is a creative problem-solving program that competes at regional and state tournaments and provides teamwork, inquiry-based learning in a creative and analytical format with plenty of fun. Open to students in grades 3-6. This is a Michigan, national and international program.
** FIT-CLUB: -This community health program was started right here at LAC and continues to grow/thrive in all community schools. Students have personal challenges of fitness goals, nutrition, and educational courses through Spectrum Health.
** FIRST IN MICHIGAN- MIDDLE SCHOOL TECH CHALLENGE (grades 7/8): Students design and build 18"x18" robots to battle in a designed game of ingenuity and innovation. Students then compete in regional and possible state qualifying contests. This is a national program.
** FIRST in MICHIGAN-- UPPER ELEMENTARY FIRST LEGO LEAGUE CHALLENGE (grades 5/6): FIRST LEGO League Challenge creates a world where students meet science and technology and want more. Where obstacles and challenges are eagerly met. Where gaining confidence and life skills are by-products of a good time.
** STUDENT LEADERSHIP TEAM: Students in grades 4-8 are invited to learn and grow as servant-leaders in this student-led group. Students meet to plan events for their school, parish and community, to learn leadership skills, and to grow in faith and discipleship.
