In order to provide an environment that reflects our Catholic tradition, promotes respect for school and individuals, and enhances self-esteem, students K-8 at Ludington Area Catholic School are required to wear school uniforms.
At the beginning of each school year there is a uniform swap, where families can exchange clothes at little or no cost.
Students will dress according to the following dress code:
Girls
Polo/oxford shirt - hunter green, white or navy blue with LAC logo. Plain white shirt may be worn under.
Slacks - khaki, navy blue or black (NO SPANDEX OR LEGGING TYPE PANTS)
Shorts - khaki, navy blue or black shorts - should not be any higher then 3" above the knee & can be worn in August, September, October, May & June
Sweaters/sweatshirts - solid color of hunter green, white or navy blue with LAC logo and must be worn with collared uniform shirt
Full/Quarter zip - solid color of hunter green or navy blue with LAC logo and can be worn with plain white t-shirt or collared uniform shirt
Skirts/skorts - khaki, navy blue or black bleated skirt, A-line skirt, stretched chino skirt, pleated skort or stretched chino skort. Should not be any higher then 3" above the knee and can be worn with discreet spandex shorts or leggings for modesty/play/warmth.
Socks - solid color of white, black, beige or navy blue
Shoes - athletic shoes are recommended but casual or dress shoes may be worn. Shoes must be closed toe and heal. Boots may not be in the classroom and heels no higher than 1 inch.
Belts - solid brown or black. Optional for K-5 graders. Required if pants, skorts, shorts or skirts have belt loops.
Hair - faddish hairstyles such as dyes, spikes, beads, etc are not permitted. All hair bows and headbands much be modest and hair/bangs should not cover the eyes.
Make-up (7th & 8th grade only) - cover up and natural light mascara only
