I have been proud to be part of the LAC family as a parent or teacher for most of the past 29 years. Earning my Bachelors in Education from Central Michigan University, I met my husband Kris and we moved to Ludington. I have been blessed to be part of the teaching staff for 13 years and have been honored to help prepare 2nd grade students for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist for 12 of those years. I also spent 18 years as a parent here as all four of my sons attended Ludington Area Catholic School. There is never a dull moment in my household of sports-loving boys, and I spend time cheering on my soccer-coach husband’s teams as well as my sons’. I also enjoy reading, yard games and cards with family, walking with friends, and learning new ways to engage students.
In my classroom I expect students to grow in independence and use their creativity and critical thinking skills in all they encounter. I encourage students to develop a curiosity for learning. I strive to help students grow to their full potential, without a fear of failing. Above all, I pray that students will be true examples of Christ’s teachings when interacting with others.
