Ludington Area Catholic School is looking for an elementary school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Our ideal candidate will meet the standard of highly qualified with a current Michigan teaching certificate and endorsement in elementary education. The candidate should be comfortable integrating technology into their instruction and building a culturally responsive learning environment grounded in the Catholic faith.
Qualifications
Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary certification
Proficient with usage and integration of technology within the classroom setting
Excellent classroom management skills
Practicing Catholic, certified or willing to complete catechetical certification
Develop lesson plans that provide individualized and small group instruction
Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day
Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth and keep appropriate records
Identify student needs
Is available to students and parents for educational-related purposes outside the instructional day
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and share best practices as part of a professional learning community
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Ludington Area Catholic School is looking for summer child care assistants (year round is available if interested). This position starts in June 2026 (full-time summer/part-time school year); no weekends or holidays. It is a part-time, year round position presently; must be available for extended breaks—holiday/summer (8 hours/day), snow/weather days and summer months (change to full-time status in the summer).
Essential Functions (This job posting is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for the position)
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, county, school and diocesan requirements for operating a childcare program
Responsible for maintaining harmony and structure.
Demonstrates knowledge of school policies and procedures.
Maintains accurate sign-in sheets in accordance with state guidelines
Implements standards of behavior and discipline for the purpose of ensuring the safety and well-being of students
Assists with program components for the purpose of delivering services that conform to established guidelines
Collaborates with the Childcare Director and Teachers for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs
Qualifications
Meet State of Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules to qualify as a staff member
First Aid/CPR/AED Certified (we provide all training needed at no cost to staff)
Experience working with PK-elementary students is helpful.

Position: Business Manager Location: St. Simon Church, Ludington, MI FLSA Status:Exempt Hours: Full time, 40 hours weekly General Summary: The Business Manager assists the Pastor, parish staff, and the parish Finance and Pastoral Councils in the ministry and implementation of the vision of the parish by overseeing the general office and financial activities of the parish and its ministries. The incumbent directs these efforts with technical expertise within a framework of shared ministry, stewardship, and Catholic values.
