Destination Imagination started at LAC in 2021-2022!  DI is a creative, problem-solving program that brings teams of students together to solve challenges and show their teamwork, creativity, ingenuity and social skills.  Students will compete at a regional tournament in the spring and if they place, they will be invited to a state competition in May.  DI is available to students in grades 1-6. 
Challenges may include engineering, the arts, building and other problem-solving.  It is hands-off for adult facilitator and hands-on for students as they come up with their solutions!
NOTE:  Our elementary engineering team placed 1st in Michigan and 10th in Global Finals in Kansas City, MO in 2022.  We're proud of our Lightning Engineers!
