A look at Computer Curriculum K-8

Kindergarten through 2nd Grade:

Students in early grades learn the basics about computers:
Identifying and using computer hardware properly
Learning mouse skills as well as keyboarding
Students learn to use software as well as websites:
Projects that include drawing and typing/story writing skills
Students learn to use the Internet properly and safely

3rd grade through 8th Grade:

Students each have their own Google for Education Chromebook.
keyboarding begins in third grade with maintenance keyboarding followed through the 8th grade
In Google Apps for Education, students use Google Docs and Google Slides to create a variety of projects.
